化学実験に使用する器具の正しい操作法を習得するためのオンデマンド化学実験教材を作成し、理科を専攻する学生43名を対象に実験を実施した。樹脂製の実験器具を配布し、専用のウェブサイトを開設することで、自宅で実験に取り組ませることができた。ウェブサイトに文章と写真をベースとしたものと、動画によるものそれぞれのページを掲載し、自由にどちらも閲覧できるようにしたところ、文字と写真をベースとしたものをメインに見て実験を実施した学生が74%であり、全く動画を見なかった学生は44%であった。実験器具の正しい使い方を知らなかった学生のうち、駒込ピペットとメスシリンダーについては100%、計量スプーンについては86%の学生が実験終了後に正しい使い方を習得できており、実験終了後の学生に対して実施した調査において、教材の教育効果が確認できた。 |

On-demand teaching materials on demand for learning how to use chemical labwares correctly were developed. Plastic labwares were distributed to students and a website was set up for the experiments. Forty-three students majoring in science carried out experiments at home using the materials. The website has two pages, one based on text and photos, another on videos. 74% of students carried out the experiment by referring mainly to the pages based on text and photos. 44% of students didn’t watch the video at all. Of the students who don’t know how to use labwares properly, 100% of the students for Komagome pipette and measuring cylinder and 86% of students for measuring spoon had learned the correct method after studying the experiment. These results evidence that the on-demand teaching materials are effective for learning how to use labware properly at home. |
