大阪教育大学と大阪府立の清水谷高校及び夕陽丘高校との高大連携夏期講座において『ES細胞からクローン人間へ, そのクローン無性生殖の結果は?』という題目のもと約40名の高校生に, 2日間総計6時間の集中講義を行った。専門の細胞・発生生物学の知識について解説するのみならず, その前に大学と高校とは本来全く別の知的体系の場であるべきであるということを認識させることを試みた。そのため, 専門内容の解説に先立って科学的文化論についての基本の概念を得られる様に心がけ, 金子みす”・コペルニクス・ガリレオ・ウエーゲナ等の詩人や科学者たちの個性や独創性の豊かさに由来した彼らの各苦悩の生涯について言及することから始めた。これらの認識に立って, 「クローン人間をつくるということは, たった一つの形質への固定化であり, それは生命存続の流れ, とりわけ人間性の存在そのものに反すること。また生命存続の結果としての進化は, 生命の多様な形質の間で培われ,その進化の結果がまた生命の多様性を生み出していること。生物の中でも, 人間が最も創造性豊かであること。というのは, 人間は生物の中で最も多様性に富んでいて, その多様性を発現できていること。我々人間を生物的, 情緒的及び知性的のいずれにせよ, その様な単一型にそろえようとするあらゆる企ては, 人類をして現時点ではその生命進化の頂点に在らしめているその進化を押し進めてきた流れに対する背信行為を意味していること (プロノウスギー,人間の進歩[1])」, 等の生物多様性の理念の本質を理解させることに努めた。高校生たちにこれらの受講後の感想アンケート回答の内容について, 彼らの大学教育に思った意識の程度について分析検討を試みた。|A summer lecture cooperation of Osaka Kyoiku University with Osaka Prefectural High Schools mainly of Shimizudani and Yuhigaoka was given, supported by the Center for Education and Research on Lifelong Learning, to develop their pupil's interests in recent Bio-Science, with providing a proper image for University different absolutely from School. Then, instead of giving the regular lecture, we offered more fundamental lecture of scientific culture to start with a comment on Misuzu Kaneko, Nicolas Copernicus, Galileo Galilei and Alfred Wegener to inform their unhappy lifes of these creative artist and scientists. And, view of this lecture is to know the developmental significancy of ES (embryonic stem) cells and to recognize that diversity is the breath of life. And, cloning is the stabilization of one form, and that runs against the whole current of creation, of human creation above all. Evolution is founded in variety and creates diversity ; and of all animals, man is most creative because he carries and expresses the largest store of variety. Every attempt to make us uniform, biologically, emotionally, intellectually, is a betrayal of the evolutionary thrust that has made man its apex (from The Ascent of Man by J. Bronowski [1]). Responses of these pupils were analyzed to know their reflective levels for the education of our university. |
